About Me
Being the first generation Tongan-American Woman to be born and raised in the U.S. my family faced a lot of challenges with citizenship, obtaining and keeping adequate housing, work, and upward mobility in career and educational institutions.
After undergrad I was looking to work for a non-profit and had trouble finding my opportunity. BAHIP truly opened the door and opened my eyes to a whole new world where I was able to learn and grow in a safe place. Through BAHIP and affordable housing I can work to make the changes I want to see in my communities.
As I become more experienced in the affordable housing field I feel more empowered and determined to work hard so that more families have the resources they need in order to live the lives they want and to provide the lives they want for their children.
I believe that housing is a right regardless of income, status, race, ethnicity,.. of any factor! and I feel lucky to be working in this field and at community housing development corporation (CHDC). I've learned so much and am so thankful to everyone who has helped me along the way.
